This is for all you die hard coupon users - since the chains are moving, but at a somewhat slow pace, i thought of adding in a 3rd one. Just for those of you who are super into coupons, and don't mind paying the stamps again. You might end up getting the other chain close to it, who knows, but for me the cost of the stamps is nothing vs. the savings of coupons. I save a ton every time i go anywhere with coupons, and now find myself again with a full envelope to pass on, which might expire before the other chains make it back to me. Bought 2 papers this morning, so lots from that too. So, if anyone wants to join this new chain, email me and i'll put it together to mail out for monday afternoon. And to everyone else, don't worry, the 2nd chains are on the move, so you'll get them in time. So, this is above and beyond everything else, even though you are on the regular chain, you still will have to email me your full details to princessnadine@yahoo.com to join this one. Hopefully this makes sense, when i went to 7-11 to get my papers, i got a free slurpee so i'm a little wired, too early in the day for a slurpee for me!!! But i will definetly go back, the lady at 7 said no one had gone in yet, not really advertised this year i guess.

if the coupon chains could somehow be organized by area, I certainly wouldn't mind picking up or dropping off the envelope to speed up the process - I too have many coupons that are expiring & would love to share them

I've thought of that too, but for safety reasons i can't encourage anyone meeting up, liability issues. I know there are a few of you who have noticed that someone on the list lives close to you, and have changed the list. If you get the list, and you are #3, and #7 lives right by you, you could drop it off, write them a little note, and explain to scratch their name off and go back to #4 after. And email me and i'll keep you in that order for the next ones.

Do you know what the approximate cost in stamps that the coupon envelopes have been to send out? I am a little leary because I just talked to someone who was on a train that cost 9.00 to send out because it was so full!

9$!!! That person must have made had an enemy at their canada post office!!
If you go to the post office, they will weight it out for you, and tell you how to make it cheaper. The last ones i mailed out, i put 4 stamps on (so around 2$) and i was overcompensating. You have to lay all the coupons flat, not in one bunch. And always sort through to take out the expired ones, or things that would expire before they get to the next person. Even the huge entertainment chain never got to be that high, maybe 4$, and that was with 10 of us combining all of our coupon books. (which i had 5! - so tons of coupons!!) Also, the type of envelope you use makes a difference, and once again at canada post they can tell you the cheapest way (and i mean if it gets to the point where there is like hundreds and hundreds of coupons). What kind of coupon chain was it? -

I mailed the coupon chain in one big envelope (quite full) for under 2$ and I went to the post office to do it. The person before split it into 2 card size envelopes and did not include enough postage and it over $1.50 per envelope. One big envelope is pretty cheap. I mail stuff all the time for my business. Just ask at the post office what's the cheapest way. I have a hard time believing it cost 9$ unless they mailed it in a box or they were coupons made of lead

$9? That's insane!!

Heehee..I thought that was a little much since I mail a lot of parcels and such. Maybe I misunderstood her or she got someone at the post office who did not weigh it properly.

But could you imagine how many coupons you'd get for that? Yikes! You'd need a separate cart for your coupon binder

I think i'm overtired today or something, but your comment totally gave me the giggles, and i'm picturing a lady pushing 2 carts, one with a filing cabinet full of coupons!!!
Sometimes i feel like that though, the binder is heavy, and i'm terrified of losing it, for some reason more so than my wallet...which is insane!! Although i've never lost a wallet in my life, and i did misplace my binder at safeway!!

When I sent it out it cost $7.50.... Would love to know what size of envelope/ how to pack it to make it cheaper!

When you go to the post office, bring a few different envelope sizes. Always worth the extra effort to be super nice to them (not that you weren't) because the people that work there do know some tricks. I had to mail something to vancouver next day recently, and the lady was so nice and helpful, it only cost me 8$ for that, and my friend got it by 4pm the next day!! That's why i was so surprised at the costs. I think if they are rushed, or in a bad mood, they just give you the 1st choice. And sorting them to get rid of expired ones, or stuff that doesn't belong in there helps, and putting them in so it's all really flat. I know one of them i had a hard time getting them all flat, but was worth it, because was huge, and still only a couple of bucks.
