Embarassing but true...I just got my MTS cell bill, and went way over on my text messages for the month. I thought I either had the unlimited plan, or the 100 (which i went over...feel like a teenager!!!) and thought each one after that was a penny or something. Nope, they were 10 cents each after...and it's too embarassing an amount, but it was a lot!! I am hooked on texting now, so quick and easy, even my mom has started doing it!!! And a phone with a keyboard makes it all too easy!! Anyway, I phoned MTS, just to figure it out, so they switched me to unlimited text (which I wasn't) for 3$ more a month, and the girl immediately said she would credit me the extra charges. I was very impressed, feels good to have a company treat you well, especially when you use all of their services, and a lot!!
So, which companies do you find have good customer service for stuff like this? Or bad?

The Royal Bank of Canada has terrible customer service. I deal with them alot for work related purposes (estates, mortgages etc.) and they are always rude and obtuse and they don't listen to reason.... I think a lot of my anger towards them right now is that I kinda got into a pissing contest with a guy from the Royal bank today because he yelled at me when I was asking him questions about a mistake THEY MADE!!! Anyways thanks for bringing this up when I am mad lol it got my rant out.!

I've had a couple of great ones over the past few months, and they both have inspired a lot of loyalty from me in the future!
At Mark's Work Wearhouse, I purchased some dress pants for hubby and when we got home realized they had a faded white line down the front. I returned them, and the ordered me a new pair. Something got mixed up and they never came, so I had to go back down to the store and order a new pair. When these ones arrived, they also had the faded line. By this point I was a little annoyed since I was over nine months pregnant and I had to keep hauling my belly to the store to do returns!! Anyways, I emailed MMW's head office, and the district manager here called me personally first thing the next morning. He also, personally, drove to three different stores here in the city and personally inspected the pants to make sure they were okay. He then hand delivered them to my house and let us look at them, and also left a gift card at the store for the value of the pants. Isn't that amazing?
Second one was Pharma Plus. I went in to grab a bunch of things, and tried to pay with a gift card. For whatever reason, the computer would not recognize any gift card at that point. I wrote a nice email to their head office asking them to look into it so I would know for sure that I could use the GC next time (so I wouldn't have to pay for something else out of pocket), and the manager from the local store called to apologize profusely. She also left a GC for me at her store to make up for the amount I purchased on the previous transaction.
I'm so impressed with both of these stores and how friendly and lovely their staff were! This is how all stores should handle problems at their stores!!! -

Those are amazing stories Kari! I think companies want to know when things aren't right so that they can improve. You don't want an unsatisfied customer.

Sobey's has excellent customer service (both by email & at the Taylor store) - that changed me from an unhappy client to a loyal customer (the gift card they provided was an additional bonus). Safeway on the otherhand should not even claim that they provide service or customer satisfaction - I have called their 1-800 line three times in two weeks with no results or promised call backs - thankfully we have a choice of where to shop

Radioflyer has good customer service, no email, you have to phone them, but i just did about my daughter's tricycle, we bought it last summer, and this year the wheels won't stop squeaking (yes, we oiled them and more)
so i just phoned and right away they offered to send me new wheels at no charge!! Didn't have to prove that i bought it or anything like that. And 2 years ago, we bought her that massive radioflyer wagon, and one of the pieces hadn't been made right at the factory, was angled wrong, so they sent us a whole new wagon a few days later! Great service!!
