I have been waiting to do some canning, we were having fridge problems, everything was freezing but finally got a new one yesterday!! Didn't want to risk picking or buying strawberries, and having them all freeze in the fridge!! Getting excited for my 1st time canning!! 
Has anyone been canning already this year? What have you made?

you will have a great time canning - it is so rewarding. One of my favourites is canned crab apples juice mixed with sprite...mmmmm.
you will wonder why you didn't do it before.
i have a couple of really great relish recipes that i would be willing to share - one's a hot dog relish and the other is very good with pork.

Haven't yet, but planning on going berry picking this Sat so long as the weather holds out! Then it will be jam making time.

Going to be canning cherries this weekend. They are on for $1.99 a pound at Sobey's. Yum! Last summer canned raspberries, cherries and peaches. They are so delicious canned.
