i always sing a silly song while i brush my kids teeth. it totally distracts them!

i always make sure they get a turn to brush after i'm done so they feel involved.

my grandaughter loves to stand and look in the mirror and brush her teeth. she ends up using the toothbrush as a microphone and does silly dances. 2 minutes goes by quickly for her this way.

Don't have to say a thing our daughter loves to brush her teeth and would do it 20 times a day if we let her !

It is hit and miss at my house what works one day may not the next. But I just keep trying and doing my best.

Our little guy lets us brush his teeth first and then its his turn... he's still pretty young but it works for us. He'd use the tooth brush all day if I let him.

Frankly I'm not into bubble gum flavoured toothpaste, but if it makes them brush without the argument, I say buy it!!!

I always let my children pick out their own tooth brushes and tooth paste. They also get to pick out their own dental picks. Things would be different if I chose the products. It gives them some independence.

I find that my little guy brushes longer when he uses an electric toothbrush.

My daughter loves Yo Gabba Gabba, and they just happen to have a song called "It's Fun to Brush your Teeth". She now wants to brush 3 times a day!

They both love brushing on their own. The eldest has a crayola toothbrush which lights up from London Drugs and she loves it.

Having the character toothbrush helps with my guy and his choice of flavor of toothpaste.

Our yougest seems to love the toothbruch....probably helps with the teeth coming in. The oldest needs some encouragement. In the tub is always the best place...they are already distracted and don't mind at all.

My daughter loves to brush her teeth! I do it first for her, and then give her the toothbrush and let her go to town. We most often brush in the tub - dunno why, but it works! She hasn't figure out how to spit yet, anyway as she's just turned 2.

For about a couple of years now, my son has taken to humming the song from the movie, the Polar Express. Since he loves to sing any old time, this makes teeth brushing that more enjoyable!

To help him understand the importance of brushing, it can be sometimes fun and helpful if I let him eat or drink something that will 'stain' his teeth temporarily, such as oreos, and then let him brush them clean

I let my son brush after I've done a good job - or first depending on his mood.

Also after eating something like halloween candy he usually wants juice and I tell him he has to have water because it helps wash away the sugar left in his mouth and makes brushing his teeth eaiser.

He had to have his 2 front teeth pulled out at 4 years old because one was chipped and became loose, so he's gotten the lecture

We make a game of it! we all brush our teeth together while making faces! then she lets mom or dad double check her work.

I find that my son enjoys brushing if I buy the kid's themed toothpaste like spongebob, spiderman etc.

We started brushing our son's teeth very early. We never had any struggles as it was just something that was natural as he had always been doing it. I actually just bought my 11 month old daughter her first toothbrush today because she is always grabbing her brother's to chew on!

We found a new kind of toothbrush at toys r us. It's clear silicone and it's made for the kids to bite on and it cleans there teeth while they bite. My girls both love it.

My four year old thankfully loves being teacher, so much so that my almost 1 yr old is learning too quickly! He loves brushing his teeth everytime he sees his big sister doing it(never mind that he started walking at 9months just to keep up to her).

I placed a timer in each bathroom. My children set the timer for 2 to 3 minutes each time they brush their teeth.

My daughter loves to brush her teeth right now. She is 22 months so hopefully she will stick with it. She wanders all over the house with her toothbrushes. We bought her one but she has now "stolen" 2 of her dad's and one of mine despite my protests. Some times it is easier to just let her have the germs than to turn her off of it.

We use our sons toothbrush as a sword, that goes into the dark cave of his mouth and battles the many creatures that live there - like lions, worms, monkeys, cats, and flies! It's quite a hoot!

My trick is we brush together after every meal - I think it is important to model good behaviour and to get them in this habit in the hopes it will last for a lifetime!

I started my son at 5 months so he'll keep his mouth open for short times so I just have to be really fast and when I'm done I let him chew on the toothbrush.

For my daughter the trick that worked best was when she was given tablets that show spots she missed after she brushed. She'd be allowed to use it only if she brushed for 2 full minutes, and she caught on quick that we were really proud when there was no residue. Now they have a rinse that you can buy instore in different colors

I sing "Old McDonald had a farm" and create funny noises for the animals while the little ones brush. Routine is important and giggles are contagious.

Nothing new, just like everyone else, we are sure to sing songs as we brush the teeth to make sure that they brush for the amount of time they need to.

love making it a family time. songs and games make it more fun.

Usually, we brush together and she imitates what we do, but it's usually not much of a struggle. Choosing a favourite toothbrush at the store helped also.

My daughter likes to pick out her toothbrush at the store and we buy a matching toothpaste to go with it. It makes her happy to see her favs!
