Nadine, I am wondering if you might run a poll on what a family in Winnipeg spends per month on groceries, designating with our without cleaning products/ toilet paper included in the category. I read some US money saving sites and families with two kids spend like $250 a month on groceries, etc. I find with our family of 3 almost grown teenagers plus two adults we spend $1000+ a month! I do shop sales, and try to use coupons, but it is that costly for everyone? (Milk is 4.49 a 4 litre, for instance) Just an idea for an upcoming topic. I am curious if others spend as much as we do. do other people keep track as I do?
For sure I can do something like that - hoping you're not paying 4.49 anymore for milk, went down to 3.99 at shoppers and safeway a long time ago already. Was just talking to someone about that how milk really went down in price last year, and butter.
I'll post something up - always interesting stuff.
I don't buy 4L milk so not sure of the price - but I did note that milk prices went up on Feb 1st - I noticed that the one litre size went up 3 cents on my Safeway bill on Feb 1st, and then saw the notice in the paper from the Manitoba Milk Prices Review Commission about this.
