So here are a few interesting tidbits that I found out about this afternoon.

1. Office Depot (both locations) will be closing June 11th. This is posted on the CJOB website. I'm sad because I'm part of their star teacher program and I get money back for my purchases. Wonder what will happen when Staples has no competition? Time to use up your gift cards and maybe get some great closing out specials.

2. Ikea - My husband heard on the radio that the new stores going in with Ikea will be announced soon. They are supposed to offer alternatives to cross border shopping. I'll be interested to see if they will be as great as they're making it them to be. I know that we were excited when Old Navy first came here but the deals here are not the same as in the US. Only time will tell.

3. Canada Post - I live across from the super box on our street and noticed the mailman in a smaller truck delivering the mail at 4pm (4-5 hours later than normal which is not uncommon if it's a different mailman). So I ran out in my pajama pants to see what was up. Turns out this is the new truck and new mailman for our route. (I'll miss you Carl!) We had received a card in the mail last week saying that there may be trucks parked in the street as the mail is delivered and that mail may be delivered later in the day. No wonder Canada Post wants to strike! Has anyone else noticed anything unusual today with Canada Post?
